In December 2009, I discovered Peter’s
You Can’t Afford the Luxury of a Negative
Thought. That book touched me so much! I wanted to write to thank the author. So I went online and discovered the Wikipedia article about Peter. The first sentence read: Peter McWilliams was.
Was? WAS? I could NOT believe he was dead! I began crying. His words had hit me so hard, learning of his death felt like I lost my best friend. I wanted to do something to honour this guy so Peter’s Page Myspace was born on January 4, 2010. Later, Facebook followed, including a daily quote page (log-in required).
In November 2010 I composed and recorded a song dedicated to Peter’s life and legacy. I used it to raise awareness of Peter. On April 24, 2011, I released a tribute video which shows Peter’s life inside six minutes. And, the man who used to own petermcwilliams.org allowed me to purchase his site from him.
So I have rebuilt and redesigned it from the ground up.
I never thought Peter McWilliams would occupy so much of my time. But after all he did for others, and did for my life; I felt compelled to give something back. I’m just an ordinary girl with an extraordinary interest in Peter’s life and legacy. Peter used to
sign his emails “Enjoy.” I, too, hope you enjoy your visit here and will stop by often as other Peter pieces are added.
Warmly,
~The Curator of the Peter McWilliams Online Museum
