As you know, I tend to end my missives with "enjoy," but it's hard to say "enjoy" after thinking about that woman in jail on Christmas eve. Does anyone have $250,000 to bail her out? In sorrow, Peter Surely, the Nation will rest so much more securely now that we have such a woman off the streets at Christmas Time, eh! How sad that we must now lock up 80-year old women who merely want to sell a small amount of medical MJ to others to ease their aches of a little arthritis and a touch of bursitis! Merry Christmas to all the brave law enforcement folks who would put such folks in a dark, damp jail cell, perhaps not even as warm as a stable in Bethlehem! ---- Original article: 80-Year-Old Charged in Marijuana Case--Statesman Journal-12-22-99 Police have arrested an 80-year-old woman for allegedly having several ounces of marijuana packaged for sale at her home.
